What FolioBeacon handles
FolioBeacon provides inspectable backup and additive recovery for an explicitly selected part of a Notion workspace. We handle account details, connected-workspace metadata and encrypted credentials, protection settings and run state, captured backup data, billing state, and limited support and operational records.
Why we use it
- To authenticate an account and keep each account’s data separate.
- To capture, store, compare, retain, and recover the scope you authorized.
- To process subscriptions and entitlement changes through the payment provider.
- To send essential service and lifecycle messages and answer support requests.
- To secure, debug, measure, and improve the service using minimized operational signals.
Connected services
Clerk provides account access; Notion provides the connected source; Render hosts services and PostgreSQL; Cloudflare provides domain and edge services; Cloudflare R2 stores managed backup payloads; Creem handles web billing; and the configured transactional email provider sends essential service and lifecycle messages. Payment card details are handled by the payment provider rather than stored in FolioBeacon.
Retention, export, and deletion
Retention follows the selected plan and published lifecycle. Contact support to request account export, deletion, or clarification of what a request affects. Deletion is scoped, auditable, and verified across service records, managed objects, derived data, queued work, and encrypted connection material, subject to disclosed operational or legal exceptions.
